Stellantis extends Mopar brand into pet travel accessories for US drivers

Stellantis has introduced Mopaw, a Mopar-branded range of premium pet travel accessories improving safety, comfort and cleanliness for pets on-road

Stellantis has launched Mopaw, a new Mopar-branded line of premium travel and vehicle-related pet accessories aimed at US consumers who routinely bring pets along for the ride.

Unveiled by the company’s Mopar aftermarket division in Auburn Hills, Michigan, the range is designed to apply Mopar’s familiar emphasis on durability and vehicle compatibility to products that help owners transport animals more safely and keep interiors cleaner.

The timing reflects both changing habits and a sizeable market. In announcing Mopaw, Mopar pointed to American Pet Products Association figures showing US pet industry expenditure topping $150 billion, alongside GlobalVetLink estimates that around 78 per cent of American pet owners travel with their pets each year. Tim Kuniskis, head of American Brands, SRT Performance, North American marketing and retail strategy at Stellantis, said many Americans treat pets as family members and do not want to compromise on quality when travelling, adding that the aim is to unite car enthusiasts and pet lovers without sacrificing “fit or finish”.

The initial Mopaw assortment combines Mopaw-exclusive items with products sourced from established manufacturers. Launch highlights include a pet carrier from Nemesys Gear designed to integrate with a vehicle’s rear seat latch system, a folding pet kennel featuring four tie-down straps for secure attachment, and interior protection options from 4Knines such as heavy-duty seat and door covers and hammock-style rear seat protectors. Mopaw also includes a YETI buddy tumbler paired with a dog bowl, as well as everyday pet gear such as collars, leads, toys and pet apparel.

Mopaw products are being marketed through Mopar’s online retail channels, positioning the line as an extension of Stellantis’ broader accessories strategy across brands including Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram.
