Audi RS e-tron GT Performance: A New Benchmark in Power

Audi South Africa's new RS e-tron GT Performance combines up to 680kW of electric power with advanced chassis technology and premium craftsmanship, making it the brand's most powerful production model yet.

Audi South Africa has unveiled its most formidable production model yet, the RS e-tron GT Performance, an electric car that redefines electric performance with staggering figures and cutting-edge engineering.

Delivering 550kW in standard guise, the car unleashes up to 680kW when Launch Control is engaged, propelling it from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.5 seconds. Even without Launch Control, it still manages the sprint in 2.9 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.

This model introduces two exclusive features that elevate its driving dynamics. The RS Performance Mode integrates the powertrain, suspension, torque distribution, aerodynamics and thermal management, ensuring composure under sustained hard driving. Complementing this is Push to Pass, which provides an additional 70kW for up to 10 seconds at the press of a button, offering a decisive burst of power for overtaking or corner exits.

Adaptive air suspension comes standard, featuring a two-chamber, two-valve system with continuously variable damping across all four wheels. At higher speeds, the car automatically lowers itself to reduce aerodynamic drag, underscoring Audi's focus on efficiency as well as performance.

Styling options are equally bold, with nine exterior colours including Arkona White, Bedford Green Metallic, Progressive Red Metallic and Nimbus Grey Pearl. Buyers can also choose from three optional styling packages: Black Styling, Gloss Carbon and Matte Carbon Camouflage, the latter offering a unique finish thanks to crushed carbon fibre sealed in resin.

The RS e-tron GT Performance rides on 21-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels, paired with carbon ceramic brakes and gloss red calipers, although grey calipers are available as an alternative. Inside, Sport Seats Pro with illuminated RS emblems, heating, ventilation and memory functions come standard, trimmed in Nappa leather and Dinamica microfibre.

Graphite Grey inlays, Audi's Virtual Cockpit Plus with an RS-specific layout, and a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system complete the cabin's premium feel.

Priced from R4,906,100, the RS e-tron GT Performance is now available to order through Audi's dealer network, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of electric performance cars in South Africa.
