Peugeot South Africa has broadened its offering with the introduction of the Partner compact van, a model designed to meet the needs of small businesses, courier operators and delivery fleets.
Arriving in two body sizes and priced below R510 000, the Partner provides a practical and cost-effective solution for light commercial transport.
The Short Wheelbase version, new to South Africa, offers a load length of 1 817 mm, while the Long Wheelbase extends this to 2 167 mm. With the Multiflex bench seat folded, the LWB delivers up to 4.4 m³ of load volume and can carry a payload of up to 1 000 kg.
Both variants are equipped with dual sliding side doors and 180-degree rear doors, ensuring easy access even in confined urban spaces.
Inside, the Partner is designed as a functional workspace. A 10-inch digital instrument cluster and matching HD touchscreen provide modern connectivity, including Wi-Fi mirroring, Bluetooth, DAB radio, dual USB ports and steering wheel controls.
Standard equipment includes manual air conditioning, one-touch electric windows, an electric parking brake, adjustable seating and overhead storage. Safety features are comprehensive, with Emergency Braking Assistance, Electronic Stability Programme, cruise control with speed limiter, Tyre Pressure Monitoring, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, and airbags for both driver and passenger. Automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers further enhance convenience.
Power comes from a 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine producing 68 kW and 230 Nm, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. Peugeot claims fuel consumption of 5.1 L/100 km, making the Partner efficient for daily operations.
Pricing is set at R479 900 for the SWB and R508 900 for the LWB, positioning the van competitively in the local market. With its blend of practicality, safety and affordability, the Partner strengthens Peugeot’s presence in South Africa’s light commercial segment and offers businesses a versatile new option.
